According to Kant's Critique of Judgment (aesthetic), beauty is a consciousness of the pleasure that attends the 'free play' of the imagination and the understanding. Besides, aesthetic is also one of Hegel's absolute spirit. The appreciation of Kate Bush has no implication that Kate is a legend (icon), it has no difference if I recommend you read Kant's theory.
閣下品味之高,在下甘拜下風。誠然,在下只懂得欣賞上世紀80年代那些「庸俗」得多的「新浪漫音樂」, i.e. that of Duran Duran, The Human League, Culture Club, Spandau Ballet, A Flock of Seagulls, Police, Eurythmics, Yazoo, Depeche Mode, Wham!......「音樂/歌曲」是否真的有格調高低之分?何謂高,何謂低?因何高,因何低?

"I con myself in conceit and smoke gets into my eyes."
Should all be clear mind, there exists no icon. No one is a hero. Nobody is legendary. Icon is a product of delusion.
